"The Barn" in Luray, VA... what a beautiful place for a wedding... on the lawn overlooking the Shenandoah River with the Blue Ridge Mountains in the background. Shelby and Corey certainly did pick the perfect place at the right time of the year. It was obvious to us that the families and friends were all about making this day special, but with a heavy emphasis on having fun. Cowboy boots, sunglasses, hats, and jeans made it's way to the reception for a lot of country line dancing and good food. Cindy and Drew of Finley Photography would like to thank Shelby and Corey for allowing us to be a part of their special day.

What a beautiful indoor Kingsmill wedding in Williamsburg Virginia. An overcast rainy day forced the ceremony events to take place indoors, but of course, at the most exclusive resort in Williamsburg, the staff is prepared to make adjustments to fit any situation. It was a small intimate group of family and friends to witness the joining of hands of two beautiful people as Rhonda and Kyle entered into marriage. Speaking of family and friends, Rhonda and Kyle are blessed to have such wonderful people in their lives. It was such a pleasure being there with this beautiful group of people while we captured their memories during the afternoon. Thank you to Rhonda, Kyle and family from Cindy, Cristen, Crystal and Drew of ZH Studios for having us there and being a part of your special day there at Kingsmill Resort on the James River in Williamsburg.

What an extraordinary Saturday evening at Warner Hall in Gloucester, VA. First, it was a nice cool temperature for a September evening. And then the gorgeous sunset in the sky off the west wing and at the same time, a stunning rainbow as we looked over the east wing of the always amazing Inn at Warner Hall. Oh yea! There was this wedding that just happened to be there at Warner Hall on the same evening. Two very special people, Erin and Matt. We as wedding photographers get to know our clients, the bride and groom as friends and sort of like family by the time we get to the wedding day, meeting once or twice before the wedding along with all the phone and email conversations. Having gone through that process with Matt and Erin, I knew that this was going to be a very special evening and wedding at Warner Hall. Beautiful people who just plain enjoy life. Matt and Erin, it was a beautiful evening and you, family and friends were perfect. We have to make note also that Troy, Theresa and the staff always do such a great job with these special evenings. Cindy, Cristen, Crystal, and Cindy would like to thank the Dexter and Buikema families for using ZH Studios.

An amazing afternoon and evening at Ford's Colony Williamsburg, VA. Cindy and I always feel extremely privileged to be a part of these ceremonies; to capture the images and moments; to show the story of promises, passion and love; the start of the wonderful journey of marriage! This ceremony was no exception. Stephanie and Tayler had every little detail planned. It was PERFECT! The entire evening... They were perfect! The wedding party, kids, families, and friends made Ford's Colony a night to remember. The ladies were on fire on the dance floor. I thought at one point and time that we would need a fire extinguisher to put the fire out that the ladies were creating on the floor. The reception... well, can you say PARTY! What a lively and fun group! We would like to thank the Crouch and Burgess families for giving us the opportunity to help them capture the beautiful ceremony and amazing evening at Ford's Colony. We've included a couple images below and will let you know when all the proofs and album showcase are posted here on Drew's Blog.

Hello everyone, Drew here... the wedding photographer from Finley Photography hired by Picture Perfect Photography from Yorktown, VA. We have to apologize for taking so long to post the images, but we went on three weeks vacation starting on July 20th. This wedding was amazing to us, not just because of the beautiful people and the wonderful Omni Hotel in Newport News, but because it was all put together within a two week period. I have to say that Latoya Jackson did an excellent job as wedding coordinator in putting it all together. As for the bride and groom, Imani & Luis were stunning and the wedding party attendants were beautiful and so much fun to photograph. We were not able to make the photo session at Yorktown Beach, but it was suggested to use the area in front of the Ferguson Center for the Arts at Christopher Newport University and it proved to be an excellent choice, as you'll see when you look at the proofs. Stayed tuned in for the proofs and the album showcase which will be posted later this week. Thank you so much for using Picture Perfect Photography and Finley Photography to capture your special day memories. Hello to the Lutterloh and Pedersen families from Cindy and Drew of ZH Studios. We have put a small selection on images together below to tease you, of course but we've seen all of the images and we're excited for you to see them also. We have to start our comments off by saying that even though the temperature was on the warm side and with the storms rolling through later in the evening during the reception, a evening wedding at Eagle's Nest can make a person forget about everything else going on the world. Diane...you were absolutely stunning in your gorgeous gown. The ladies were beautiful with their dress colors popping out on the background colors of green trees and blue water. Jereme and the guys were handsome and dashing. Your color selection was perfect. You all made our job extremely easy with all your careful planning and you're...well, just beautiful people. Wow! What a perfect day in May for a wedding on the lawn at the historic Stratford Hall Plantation. Ashley and Jimmy... you were both stunning and all of your planning and preparation made for a spectacular ceremony and evening as the day unfolded. Your wedding ceremony pastor, Steve had a very nice message (and humorous at times) for you, family and the guests... and the wedding party - the guys were smooth looking and the ladies were gorgeous. Ashtyn and Berkeley were so cute and well... let's just say they looked like models straight out of a wedding magazine. The reception - another Wow! A great live band and the best DJ we've ever seen at a wedding reception. You all know how to party and take it in to the evening. When we left for our guest room, you were still rockn' and shaking the foundations at the plantation. One last note... the Stratford Hall staff and crew did a wonderful job throughout the entire day and evening! Jimmy and Ashley, relax and enjoy your time on the island of St. John and a big thank you for using ZH Studios to capture the memories of your special day there at Stratford Hall.

Pelis/Leone Wedding - March 30, 2008

Hello Elizabeth City, NC. Sal and Sandy Leone have arrived! It might have been cold and rainy all weekend March 29-30 in E-City, but there was warmth, love and sunshine beaming through from the Pelis and Leone families and friends. The Holy Family Catholic Church was beautifully decorated for the Easter season and that set the stage for a spectacular ceremony. The reception at Elizabeth City State University, as far as wedding receptions go, was dazzling and perfect. And of course, as you can see from the images in the collage and once we have the picture gallery and album showcase ready for viewing, top all that off with a gorgeous bride and handsome groom…Sandy and Sal. When you put all of that together, it made it for the perfect weekend, regardless of the weather condition outdoors. Congratulations to Sal and Sandy and the Pelis and Leone families from Cindy, Drew of Finley Photography and Cristen and Crystal of ZH Studios. To both families…thank you for great weekend and allowing us to be a part of it all.

Hello Williamsburg. Eryn and Brian have arrived and are now Mr. and Mrs. Brain Hasty. A beautiful marriage celebration took place at the Wren Chapel of the Sir Christopher Wren Building at the College of William & Mary. I’m guessing one of the most popular locations in Williamsburg for wedding ceremonies. And what a perfect fall season day for a ceremony. Eryn was absolutely gorgeous in her stunning gown. The colors for the bridal party were perfect for the season and location. It was a breathtaking day and celebration. Before leaving the campus for the reception at the Pork of York on York River at the U.S. Coast Guard Training Center in Yorktown, we stopped with Eryn and Brian at the Crim Dell for a short moment and took several images at one of the most scenic and photographed campus locations across the United States. ZH Studios would like to thank the Williams and Hasty families for choosing ZH Studios to capture the event and create everlasting memories for them. Both families and friends were such a pleasure to be around during this amazing day. Congratulations to Eryn and Brian from Cristen, Crystal, Cindy, and Drew.
